ILLUMRA Awards & Industry Recognition

Since 2008, ILLUMRA has been recognized by industry leaders for innovation in self-powered wireless lighting and HVAC controls.

2012 Top Products Award — Building Operating Management

2012 Top Products Award Winner Presented to Illumra

ILLUMRA's self-powered wireless window/door sensor was selected for the 2012 Top Products Award by Building Operating Management magazine, featured in the January 2012 issue.

The wireless window/door sensor reduces energy consumption and equipment wear in hotels, condominiums, and schools by shutting off air conditioning when windows or doors are open. It requires no batteries — harvesting energy from ambient indoor light via a solar cell that stores enough power to operate for several days in complete darkness.

"The fact that Building Operating Management included ILLUMRA in its selection of 2012 Top Products Award Winners signals that our constant efforts towards business excellence are paying off," said Jan Finlinson, Director at ILLUMRA.

2010 Best Dimming Control — The LED Show, Las Vegas

ILLUMRA won Best Dimming or Control at The LED Show in Las Vegas. A panel of LED experts reviewed ILLUMRA's constant-voltage LED dimmer and announced the award on August 27, 2010.

The dimmer uses 65,000 dimming steps to provide ultra-smooth LED dimming at all light levels, eliminating the flicker commonly associated with LED dimmers. Available in wireless or wired configurations, it responds to battery-free controls and includes an industry-standard 0-10V input.

"ILLUMRA is providing the LED community with game changing technology," said James Highgate, Lighting Consultant and Director of the LED Show. "We see the potential for many manufacturers to incorporate the ILLUMRA LED dimmer into their product line."

Selected for New York City's Green Technology Initiative — METS Program

ILLUMRA was selected by New York City's Municipal Entrepreneurial Testing System (METS) to participate in a pilot program showcasing green technology across city buildings. The program featured two ILLUMRA products: the self-powered wireless occupancy sensor and the M3 wireless steam valve control — both designed to install in as little as 20 minutes with minimal disruption to building operations.

"Our unique green technology can be retrofitted economically and easily in any government or commercial building," said Jan Finlinson, ILLUMRA CEO.

METS was a partnership between NYC Speaker Christine C. Quinn, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), and the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), created to promote green technologies in city buildings.
